Using a Movie to Get Students to Write

This website has short little movie clips that you can show to your class and a writing prompt appropriate to your grade level to help students get started writing.  What a great activity for a lab.  Show the clip in the lab, give them the prompt, and have them open up Word to write.  They can do their pre-write by jotting down ideas on one page and then start writing on the next page.   Click on the link below to see all the different writing prompts.  TeachHub also has many other activities that you might find helpful.
