In case you haven't heard, there is some big deal movie coming out this Friday. It is some kind of fantasy story called The Hobbit. Apparently it is based on a popular book, by JRR Tolkien, or so I've heard... I'm not really all that sure, I don't really go for all that fantasy and science fiction kind of stuff...
Oh, who am I kidding! I am so excited for this weekend, that I've re-read the book, and I've been busily working on my costume for the premier! I can't help it, I just love how movies can bring books to life!
But you know, movies are not the only way to bring text to life! I just use Google Story Builder, and I can bring a conversation to life right on my own computer. I choose characters, enter the dialogue and Google Story Builder turns it into a little movie. It might be a good way for a teacher to introduce dialogue from a story, or to engage students with text, or just to create a cool written conversation.
