Why Does Art Only Get One Month?

This week the ITRT Play of the Week presents an Art themed website.

"But isn't Youth Art Month over?"  Well sure...  but why should Art only get ONE month.   Shouldn't we appreciate the Arts every month...  Shouldn't we look for ways to bring more Art into the lives of our students?  Shouldn't we embrace ways to combine Art with our curriculum to help make stronger connections?

And this isn't just some boring Art website, this site lets you create a kaleidoscope!  Just imagine, the beauty, the color, the movement, and even the math!  As you are exploring the artistic beauty of the kaleidoscope you can talk about lines of symmetry, angles, growth patterns, colors, shapes, and more...  And I'll bet you could even use a cool kaleidoscope as a great way to spark a conversation about abstract emotions or feelings...  It might even make a good creative writing starter!

Or you can just enjoy the kaleidoscope...  because who doesn't love a good kaleidoscope!
