eBooks for Free

What could be better than free eBooks!  eBooks can motivate some of our reluctant readers.  The addition of interactive content, picture support and audio support makes these books accessible to students with various learning styles and needs.  Most of the resources listed here can be accessed through a web browser  as well as a tablet or ereader.  There is a resource for all reading levels!

Woodland Resources- This site bookmarks several interactive stories for kids. (PreK-1)

Tarheel Reader- This site not only offers easy, accessible books with speech capabilities, it can also be used to create your own books...and it's easy! (all grades)

Lit2Go-  In addition to free stories and poems, this site also provides related reading strategies as well as supplemental reading materials for many passages. (all grades)

Open Library-  This site lets you borrow eBooks. (all grades)

DailyLit-  This site lets you read a book in fifteen minute installments.  Great for reluctant readers!  (grades 5-12)
