Reflex Math - Celebrating success!

Reflex Math is a resource that many of you are familiar with already, Students work through the program to increase automaticity of math facts, so that they are ready to learn higher level concepts.  For students, Reflex Math is pretty automatic, they log in and it knows what they have completed and where they need to go.

Beyond this simplicity for students, as a teacher you can monitor the progress of your class.  One of the most effective ways to help students progress through this process, is by setting goals with the students, and then celebrating as a class or grade level when students reach their goals.  Teachers can also use reports, like the Fluency chart to track milestones for individual students or groups.  They can also use the certificates

A classroom or grade level progress chart, is a great way for the students to see themselves being successful, and track their progress towards being 100% fluent.

If you would like help coming up with a way to work on goal setting with your students, or creating a way to celebrate success in your class, you can always ask your Math Specialists, Instructional Coaches or even us, your ITRTs!  Technology is part of our job, but we are first and foremost instructional and we want to do whatever we can to make instructional technology work for you and your students.

As you come up with examples of your own, please share with your ITRT, so we can add it to our collection!

Enjoy!
