Looking for Images?

This site is a winner! Picsearch is a filtered image search that provides good results. While no filter is perfect, this does seem to remove explicit images. There may still be inappropriate content with certain searches that you would not likely do, but your students might so you need to consider (and test) carefully before using with your students. It can be a better option than Google Images, which may not be filtered at all depending on the settings on the machine.

As an added bonus, you can click on Advanced Search to narrow your search in a variety of ways. Look for fun animations to add to your presentations. To see animations, click on the picture and then click on “Image URL” to view only the animated image.

Images are copyrighted so be sure to follow fair use guidelines and provide citations for all images used.
