If you've just used the first window in Google, you are missing out on lots of different ways to locate and display information.
Google News Timeliner is great for students researching current events. Results come from Wikipedia, Time, USA Today, the New York Times, and a variety of other news sources and are displayed chronologically so it is easy to see how the story has progressed. It's also fun to see what the headlines were on important days in history, such as the day you were born!
Google FastFlip lets students flip through pages from magazines and newspapers for popular, controversal, headline, or recent news.
The Google Search Options page from the Springfield Township library in PA has many other options for you to try.
