Want to spruce up your next poetry unit? Trying to inspire reluctant writers? Have students that need more support during writing? The Instant Poetry Forms web page may be just what you are looking for. This site offers a variety of interactive poetry forms. These forms are similar to Mad Libs- the students are asked to complete a template with very specific information in order to create a poem. The forms highlight different styles of poetry and cover a variety of topics. Are you teaching about famous Americans right now? Instead of another research report, why not have your students create a biography poem? Give it a try!
