The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives is a website created by Utah State University. The site offers interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives that cover various math concepts from K-12. To find a particular manipulative, simply choose the area of mathematical focus and a grade level range. Many of the manipulatives available are open ended and can be used during a teacher-directed lesson. Some of the manipulatives ask students to complete a specific mathematical problem or challenge. Java must be installed on the computer in order for the manipulatives to work. The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives is a great resources for your visual learners. Check it out!
