BatchGeo for Mapping Data

BatchGeo is a resource I was exposed to at the VSTE conference in December and was immediately excited about.  This website allows you to map data from a spreadsheet, website, or other source by just copying and pasting.  First, copy data like addresses, cities, gps coordinates, and other important data from a spreadsheet, webpage, document, or table.  Then paste it into the data box on the website.  Finally, click the green Map It button and you're done!

You now have a map showing all of your coordinates and info.  It is that simple!  You can also visualize patterns in the data by creating color-coordinated groups.  Imagine how this will help your visual learners understand content.  This tool is easy enough for students to use as well.  Want to see BatchGeo in action?  Click here to view my map of Harrisonburg City's Public Schools.

Visit the BatchGeo site and view their quick introduction video to find out more.
