WolframAlpha

Sometimes I wonder how I ever found out anything before Google. Working with students we quickly realize that Google is not the best way to locate information when we have an audience.  For this Play of the Week, I invite you to visit an alternative to Google:  WolframAlpha

WolframAlpha is a computational knowledge search engine. Whereas Google gives you links to websites, WolframAlpha gives you instant facts and information.

Today is National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day. You can use Wolfram to look up the calories and nutritional value for this sandwich and for all your favorite foods and beverages.

Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday is tomorrow. Your students can do a quick look up of information on this famous American.

Check it out today on your computer or mobile device!
