Cool Add-Ons for Your SMARTBoard
Scholastic has added a SMART page on to their web site. Click below on the link, scroll down to the bottom and you will find SMART movies, widgets, images, manipulatives, and lesson plans to use with your SMARTboard. It will take you to Smartexchange, where you will have to log in to your account (it's free) and then you download the item. Once you download it, open it up and it will be ready to do a "Save As" so you will have it in your folder of SMARTBoard activities. Some of the widgets include a stop watch/timer, thermometer, puzzle maker, and weights/scale. Videos are a variety but some included were Ancient Rome and Greece, Brown Bear, & the Solar System. What a great way to engage your student with these wonderful Smartboard Add-Ons. There is something there for everyone. If you have troubles or would like help, please contact your friendly ITRT.
