Finally, Robotic Beings Rule the World!

If you are a fan of Science Fiction literature and movies, you know that a robotic uprising is pretty much inevitable.  Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?...  The Matrix... The Terminator...  even Flight of the Conchords...  They have all set us up for a head-to-head struggle with sentient robots!

But there is good news!  Digital Learning Day is this Wednesday, and not only is it a great time to celebrate the technology you use with your students, check out new ways you can use technology, and even think about digital citizenship in an ever-changing world, but it is also a good opportunity to get on the right side of technology when the robots finally do gain full autonomy.  Just think, when the robots are looking for friends, teachers who are into technology and digital learning will definitely be first in line!

If you are interested in Digital Learning Day, or just technology in general, the website has lesson ideas, examples of technology use, and other resources that might help you better use technology in your teaching.  Check out the website for more details:

One great thing that you could do for Digital Learning Day, is to focus on digital citizenship.  There is a great compilation of resources on the Harrisonburg Instructional Technology website, including the grade level curriculum guides and links to websites for students and teachers.
Check it out here:

As always, if you need any help with Digital Citizenship, or Digital Learning Day, please ask your friendly ITRT for help.  We are trying to get in good with the robots, too!

Enjoy!
