Comic Fun
Everyone loves comic books. Charlie Brown, Dennis the Menace, Superman, Lil' Abner, Baby Blues, Pickles--the list could go on and on. But did you know that Comics are being used in the classroom? Check out the article "A Teacher's Guide to Comic Book Creation" to see how to incorporate comics in the classroom. Whether you use it to recreate the classics, a how to paragraph, or even an interview with a historical character, it engages them to write and have fun because they do not need to worry about the drawing part of it. The 3 websites below provide templates for backgrounds, characters, objects and speech bubbles so all the students need to do is focus on the content and be creative.
