Storybird for Collaborative Storytelling

Storybird is a collaborative storytelling site. Students start with either an image or a theme and then create a story to go with it. The images are donated by various qualified artists. Students can choose to invite other students from a class to collaborate on a story. Students can also comment on each other’s stories. Teachers create a class and student accounts(student email accounts are not needed). This creates a closed, private environment for publishing. The teacher can create assignments for the class or simply let the students write and publish what they choose. The site is easy to use for both teachers and students.
