Are your students typing in keywords and not getting the results they wanted? Do they want your help figuring out what keywords to type in when doing a search? Do they need to practice using good searching skills? A Google a Day is a great way to help students practice their search skills. A question a day is presented and students need to put their search skills to use to find the answer. One way to utilize this great 21st century skill is to have students work in groups. Project the problem of the day on the board and have students write down as many keywords they could use to find the answer. Then type in their keywords to see if their words help them find the answer to the question. Keep working on different keywords until they find what they need. Enter your answer and click submit. It will tell you if you are right or to keep searching. Just click on the link below to help your students learn great searching skills.
