Teaching Students to Recognize Fake News

In today's world we need to let students know that not everything on the Internet is true and to teach them how to distinguish fact from fiction while they are doing research or just surfing the web.  (Wait, what, it's not true that an octopus lives in a forest or there is an island for dogs to go for vacation?)

Here are some resources to help you teach older students how to help wade through information for authenticity.
All Sides - mainly upper middle school & high school

Politifacts - mainly high school

Fact Check - middle & high school

Save the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus

Dog Island
